How we started
Shiloh Weiss and Emerson Colt started SE Home Services after a late-night conversation following a shift at the restaurant where they worked. Shiloh had just begun offering gutter cleaning as a side gig, picking up a few houses through local forum posts. Emerson had been painting for a few years and was ready to do more with his skills.
They started talking about whether it was the right time to launch something of their own. It was late September — not exactly the ideal time to start a new business — but Shiloh said, “There’s no better time than now.”
That was it. No overthinking. They jumped in and got to work. What started as a couple of jobs quickly turned into a steady stream of clients. From day one, they’ve worked side-by-side, figuring it out as they go, staying focused, and getting the job done.
